I actually discovered this song accidentally on LimeWire while searching for Portishead songs. It was mislabeled as "Music to Fuck to" by Portishead, and that's actually what I said it was called when I introduced it to my guitar teacher Aston Wright in East Falmouth, MA in 2008. I later found out it was by a little-known trip hop outfit called Alpha, off of their 2001 album Come from Heaven. I can see why the vibe of the song might've led someone to believe that it was Portishead, but the vocalist really doesn't sound anything like Beth Gibbons. In fact, I think it's a man. Also, there isn't a song by Portishead by that name.
