Book of Tunez Chromaticism

from Odds and Ends by Reuben Walton

/

about

As the title suggests, the ideas for this composition came partially from being bored with the Aural Skills homework I was doing and inputting the dead, static melodies into my computer's MIDI keyboard and then filtering them through my own crazy lens. The basic chord progression that repeats until the last two minutes was one I thought of and I liked because it feels ominous. The chords are G major and Db/C# major. Their roots are a tritone apart, and their relationship is I-bV or I-#IV.
