Bless You (feat. Amber Scanlan)

about

In this song, my late friend Amber Scanlan speaks, freestyles, and sings to her cat, the late great Tiger, may God rest his soul and her soul, and I freestyle over Snoop Dogg's "Sexual Eruption (Sensual Seduction)" that was on the radio in Amber's car, about how a shorty should get it poppin'. I've had a lot of left-over recordings from my digital camera, the one at Amber's house with her cat was from early January 2008, possibly the 5th I think, judging by context clues within the lyrics to the recording. The one where I'm talking about how a shorty should get it poppin' is from one time that year (2008) when Me and Amber were driving around the rotary to go down to the entrance to Mashpee Commons, the one where the entrance to the section with Stop & Shop and all that is on your right and the other entrance to the larger side with the Movie Theater and stuff is on your left. The recording with Amber talking about Pam was probably recorded in Falmouth, probably on Main Street, because Pam is this tan homeless lady with a shaved head who we used to see on Main Street in Falmouth, MA 02540, United States, usually in or in the vicinity of White Hen Pantry, or the White Hen Pantry parking lot. White Hen Pantry is no longer there, and it is now a jewelry store. Our nickname for Pam was "The Homeless Dyke". Also, she apparently used to be a client of my Dad's. There's also a reference made by me in my lyrics to this time I stabbed a fruit in the kitchen of my Dad's house at 30 Hilton Avenue, Woods Hole, MA 02543, United States, and as punishment for that I had to go with my Dad to North Barnstable, MA, United States, for this really boring meeting of this group called the World Federalists, where they had terrible food, it was almost all elderly people and it was really boring for a preteen. They are a global citizens movement that advocates the establishment of a global federal system of strengthened and democratic global institutions subjected to the principles of subsidiarity, solidarity and democracy. I think Amber's line "take it 'round and 'round" and the way she delivers it could possibly be a reference to Shawnna's line "and I make it go 'round and 'round" from her second verse in I-20's song "Slow Fuckin' (feat. Shawnna)" off of his 2004 album Self Explanatory. My song "Bless You (feat. Amber Scanlan)" was originally uploaded to my SoundClick music page at www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=541671&content=music on Wednesday 7/16/2008. The track artwork for this song is a blurry picture of Amber as she was smiling and turning her head to the right while sitting in the driver's seat of her car, illuminated by one of the car's interior lights. This picture was taken by Me with my Mom's old digital camera 📷 . We thought it looked kind of cool. That camera had this thing where sometimes if it wasn't using the flash, it tended to take very blurry photos, and the settings on it were kind of confusing.
