Started this one in 2010, it's very much inspired by the producer The-Dream and his compositions, particularly the ones he did with Mariah Carey on her album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, and how slick and sleek they were. The southern-rap-influenced slow jam a la Ciara is also part of what I was going for here, along with the "Ehs" in the style of Akon or Rihanna. I also added in a three-against-four breakdown measure towards the beginning, as those seem to be more popular with producers these days. Maybe sometime I'll make this into a full-fledged contemporary R&B song for either myself or someone else to sing. An earlier demo instrumental version of this can be found on my album "Cleaning Out My Closet".
