I loved this song when I first heard it on her much-maligned 2003 album "Liz Phair". I loved the chunky sound of the guitars that she achieved through the use of palm-muting the strings. It reminded me of a lot of care-free pop-punk that I had heard growing up in the early 2000s, so I decided to cover it, only I tuned my guitar town to Eb tuning to make it easier for me to sing it in my own vocal register. Here I am playing on my Taylor 214ce electric acoustic guitar. The track artwork is a highly edited photo of the interior of my late friend Amber Scanlan's car, looking towards Luke-Aaron Heart's two friends sitting in the back whose names I forget.
lyrics
I don't know what you're after
Wanna know all the details of my disaster
Like an accident on the side of the road
When you're driving past slow but there's nothing to see here
Wanna take a look, take a look
Wanna take a look, take a look
Wanna take a look, take a look
Wanna take a look, take a look
I'm some kind of freak now and
You'll never see me the same
What's all the fuss about?
Are you sure you wanna find out?
Cause once you know the truth
You might wish you'd walked away
Wanna take a look, take a look
Wanna take a look, take a look
Wanna take a look, take a look
Wanna take a look, take a look
What if I'm not able
To put my cards on the table?
And would it liberate you
If you knew what I knew?
It's been over a year now and
I never saw him again
The facts and the fiction
Collide as the bodies untangle
And the traffic moves on like it did
Wanna take a look, take a look
Wanna take a look, take a look
Wanna take a look, take a look
Wanna take a look, take a look
Wanna take a look, take a look
Wanna take a look, take a look
Wanna take a look, take a look
Wanna take a look, take a look

Super dreamy and spacey, just the way I like it. Beautiful music, recommended for fans of Best Coast, Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear, and other bands. Check 'em out! "D'Arrest" is my favorite! Reuben Walton
