Lyin' on the Beach

about

I guess in spirit this song is kind of a sequel to "Rewind the Clock Back" off of my 2011 album Diamonds and Plastic, but it improves on its predecessor by actually having a hook, something the free-association freestyle before it lacked. P-Town is Provincetown, MA, which is a popular LGBTQ travel destination on Cape Cod, so I felt like giving it a shoutout. WoHo is Woods Hole, MA, my hometown. Dubtown is Weymouth, MA, where my friend LeAnne Piepiora, who I met when I went to UMass Lowell, is from. The idea is that rather than claiming some far away place as my hood I would instead shoutout some of the different places around me that I've hung out at or have been. Part of the beat for this song was later used for my song "The Birds and Bees (feat. Tim Goulet)" off of my 2012 album Odds and Ends.
