about

Derek and I singing, humming, clapping and snapping. This song also features me playing piano. This is another one of Derek's really raw songs that turned into an experiment. I think the title is just because Björk also had a song called Hope on her 2007 album Volta, which came out earlier in the same year this was released on SoundClick. Towards the end, this song also contains a lyrical interpolation of Björk's song "I've Seen It All" off of her soundtrack album Selmasongs: Music from the Motion Picture Soundtrack 'Dancer in the Dark', released in 2000. The track artwork is a picture taken by me on my mom's old digital camera of Amber Scanlan and I in Amber's Kia Optima. This song was originally uploaded to my SoundClick music page at www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=541671&content=music&songcount=106&offset=0&currentPage=2 on Sunday 9/30/2007.
